What existed before the symbol had a meaning?

We recognize a familiar form and almost immediately give it a name. But what if the form existed before the meaning we now attach to it?

THE TRACE BEFORE THE SYMBOL began not with an answer, but with a question. A point. A centre. A first impulse. Movement spreading outward. Four directions emerging from one moment.

Through sculptural texture, darkness and light, the work explores the space between an instinctive gesture and a symbol. Before doctrine. Before division. Before anyone told us what we should see.

Perhaps the symbol came later. Perhaps it is only the trace of something older — something life was already doing long before we gave it a name.

This original PROJECT X artwork does not offer a final interpretation. It invites the viewer to search, question and discover a meaning of their own.

THE TRACE BEFORE THE SYMBOL.
The question remains.
